A special moment between me and my dad

I don't have many pictures of me, because I am the one taking them.
This picture was captured by my daughter, Cambria without me knowing.
I was talking with dad and rubbing his shoulders with Doterra Oils.
I am so grateful that she captured this moment between the two of us.

More Grandparent time

Another fun night with Grandma and Grandpa at Kindred.
Cecilee & Sydnee came to do shellac on Grandma's toes and fingers.
They brought dad another Shave Ice, but this time with Li Hing Mui on it, by request.
He told Cecilee, "I worked extra hard in therapy because I knew you were bringing this!"
He's so cute!!

Acute Rehab

Another Sunday evening going to visit grandpa.
My dad has been moved to The Acute Rehab which now will help him learn to be independent
and walk, etc. It's located in the old hospital by the temple on the 5th floor.
We love going to visit him and mom-you can guarantee that there will be other family
members there visiting also. Max's family was there also.
These kids immediately ran to the wheelchairs when they got there.
They love to balance on 2 wheels and just wheel around.
EVERYTHING IS A COMPETITION, who could balance longer.
Dad just loved watching them balance and play!
My cute parents who have been through so much together.
It has only brought them closer and a stronger relationship.
My dad looks so cute and is slowly getting stronger and stronger.
I hope to be the type of wife that mom has been to my husband. She is amazing!!!
My dad is so stinkin' handsome!!
In the hospital the Dr.'s would say, "Your dad is soo handsome, he looks like Al Pacino"
My dad told us one time, "I am cursed~ I am soooo good looking!"
I do have to agree, he is still so handsome even with his crooked little smile!!
I love my dad and so happy that he's getting stronger!!

Cecilee has grandparent time

My Cec-So-Sweet, is exactly that, "SWEET!!!"
She went over to Kindred Rehab and spent the evening with my parents.
She rubbed grandpa's feet and trimmed his toenails and filed the black out of them.
She did grandma's nails and toenails and brought them shave ice!!

Occupational Therapy at Kindred

Occupational Therapy at Kindred

I walked into the room and dad was sitting on the edge of his bed with his occupational therapist.
He got excited when he saw me and was so excited that someone other than mom was
witnessing his progress. He said, "Hi Nana, look at me!"
Dad is so cute, since his stroke, he's like a little kid sometimes and has a funnier sense of humor.
Here he is visiting with some good friends from the purgatory.
It's the simple things that we take for granted that I started to realize watching my dad.

More visits with Dad at Kindred

We loved making plans to show up together as sisters to visit dad.
He could never get enough LOVE from his 3 girls.
Of course my kids always wanted to come as well.
We love those time to visit him, even though he doesn't look to enthused
HE REALLY WAS!!!

Roadtrip for Dad to Keawe's Baptism

We got to take dad for a road trip for a few hours to attend Keawe's baptism.
They don't normally transport patients to family activities but we thought,
it wouldn't hurt to ask. The sweet transport lady, Sheri said that she would come in and take him.
Dad was so cute and so excited to get all dressed up.
This was such a great activity for dad, he hadn't been to a family activity in months.

So of course, everyone wanted to take pictures with our special guest visitor!!!

Trevor loves his grandpa so much and it's so hard for him to see grandpa like this, but he wants to do
all he can to help him. He came and helped get grandpa dressed in his white shirt and tie and
did grandpa's tie up for him. He also helped the nurses move grandpa into his wheelchair,
good thing he was there, Trevor just about picked him up.
He loves him so much!!
I love my dad so much!!! He was so cute, he kept wanting me to "Tweek" him.
He has bedsores and his pants would hurt him and he would need to be adjusted,
so he refers to it as "Tweeking".
Max and I would take him a side and pretty much lift him by his pants.
Then he would say, "Ohhh that's much better"
(But only for 2 minutes, then he wants to be "tweeked" again.)
Cecilee is so glad to be home from Kansas to spend time with grandpa.
Joe and Janette's family wanted a picture with mom and dad.
Dad was the celebrity for the day, it was so nice to have him out of the facility for a few hours.
He loved being in his NICE clothes.  He looked so handsome.
The 2 Clay's - I never realized how much Clay Jr. looked like dad, he is a spitnu image.
