We had a wonderful New Years Day at Joe and Janette's Home.
We started the day off with delicious cocoa rice and french bread.
Every single one of the kids from the oldest to the youngest LOVE cocoa rice.
Even ask Tristan, he'll tell you how much he LOVES it, through his smile!!!
After eating we all walked to Joe's church building for some games.
Everybody took off for the 1/4 mile walk.
I told dad that if he wanted to try and walk it, I would walk with him.
So he agreed and we started walking.
Every step was amazing for my dad.
But he was so determined that he would make it to the church.
Mom and some of the boys would drive by and ask dad if he were OK, he would tell them that he was fine and that he was NOT getting into the car.
I tried to keep dad's mind off of the pain and the distance by talking and talking.
At one point he said, "Nana, you really a Podagee" (someone who talks alot)
But I had a reason to keep his mind going and keep him laughing.
This picture dad was laughing because we walked by this horse Doodoo
and dad said, "I walked the doodoo out of me!"
He thought he was soooo funny!!
I loved walking with him and telling him all about the new movie "Parental Guidance"
After Dad and I finally made it to the church, I had to have everyone together for a picture.
We then came in a played the DEADLY game Musical Chairs.
This was taken before we all left for the evening.
We love being together as a family and the good times that we enjoy!
