Irene's Insight of Our Dad

Some of the last memories I have of Dad & the way he has impacted my life so profoundly on his way out of this mortal probation, will have changed my life for an Eternal progression.
~POSITIVE ATTITIUDE: No matter the hardship of health Dad suffered with the last few years of his life his attitude full of Positivity NEVER changed, to attending grandkids games to singing in the dance shows to saying he wants to get up & walk after having his stroke all the way to being in my home in his last final days on Hospice Saturday after she stated "He won't make it through the weekend"  & Dad looking @ her then me as I was putting his 1st dose of Morphine in his IV & replied "I'LL MAKE IT"!!!! & sure enough he made it through till Tuesday morning at 12:30. Dad's Positive sayings to,
~"TOP OF THE MORNING TO YA"!!! ~"FANTASTIC"!!!!
 ~"ALOOOOHA"
will ALWAYS be a Positive pusher for me.

~SENSE OF HUMOR:
Even through Dads Rehab & Hospitalizations left him unable to walk & feed himself, Dads humor kept our spirits high for all those who were around him watching him struggle. He continued to make us laugh even with the stroke taking the feeling of his left side of his face he was still able to get out his funny remarks & jokes to make us all laugh weather teasing one of us kids, telling us about a nurse, or getting tweaked by anyone around or telling the nurse my Name was Gladys just to worry me for a bit, Dads humor was always Non Stop.

~ CLOSER TO THE VEIL:
There were those times now that I seat & think of Dads moments of disconnect to mortality where in his eyes it seemed as those he saw the BIGGER picture of the meaning of life & what was to come through peeks beyond the veil. There were times I would find Dad gazing his attention to a random spot in the room to just stare as though all his attention was consumed in that moment, though words were unspoken the feeling of being still & knowing Dad knew more then we did at that moment of what was to come.

~DADS PASSING:
The night of Dads passing after we had our FHE of Dads Funeral arrangements & Dream concert program put together as Dad was still with us & then some of the Family had to depart to take care of their things @ home & then to return is when it happened.
It was myself, Mom, Clayton, Julee, Joe, Tia, Andy, Uncle Elliott, who were by Dads side as he awoke from his comatose state & took one last look into Moms eyes with his glossy eyes as though to speak with his eyes the words "I LOVE YOU". Then to hear moms words of comfort & coaching to Dad through the veil to pass from mortal to immortality to the other side was heartbreaking as us kids were massaging & stroking Dads arms, legs & top of his head singing "Families can be together Forever" the Spirit was so strong as to understanding death & what we believe in & to see Dads mortal body in a blink of an eye turn into a shell yet to feel his Spirit in the room so strong & the peace on that night even when the mortuary came to pick Dad up & we said a prayer with dad before he left & they departed taking him away as teardrops of rain sprinkled down  was a testimony to me of what we believe that had just came true. The shock still remains & will for some time to think that Dad is no longer physically here but on the other side to prepare for us until we meet again.
The comfort text from Dads phone sent to me exactly 2 weeks after he passed on a Tuesday saying
"You're the best"! Will always be a reminder that he is HERE & he is WATCHING all & he is closer then I think, "I LOVE YOU DAD"!!!! :-)
