Hannemann's Memory of Grandpa

My best memory with Grandpa is probably when he was in Coral Desert and he was talking to me about how he surfed 15 ft. waves. Another memory is when he always taught me the preistood and he would say what is the priesthood and I would say the power to act in Gods name. I also remember when we went over to grandma & grandpas house for the 4th of July and we would do fireworks. Grandpa wouldn't let us kids light the fireworks, so he would always light them so we wouldn't get hurt. Another thing that goes with the 4th of July is when he took us to the Hurricane Pool and he would do his BIG BOODA SPLASH and win the contest.

Irene's Insight of Our Dad

Some of the last memories I have of Dad & the way he has impacted my life so profoundly on his way out of this mortal probation, will have changed my life for an Eternal progression.
~POSITIVE ATTITIUDE: No matter the hardship of health Dad suffered with the last few years of his life his attitude full of Positivity NEVER changed, to attending grandkids games to singing in the dance shows to saying he wants to get up & walk after having his stroke all the way to being in my home in his last final days on Hospice Saturday after she stated "He won't make it through the weekend"  & Dad looking @ her then me as I was putting his 1st dose of Morphine in his IV & replied "I'LL MAKE IT"!!!! & sure enough he made it through till Tuesday morning at 12:30. Dad's Positive sayings to,
~"TOP OF THE MORNING TO YA"!!! ~"FANTASTIC"!!!!
 ~"ALOOOOHA"
will ALWAYS be a Positive pusher for me.

~SENSE OF HUMOR:
Even through Dads Rehab & Hospitalizations left him unable to walk & feed himself, Dads humor kept our spirits high for all those who were around him watching him struggle. He continued to make us laugh even with the stroke taking the feeling of his left side of his face he was still able to get out his funny remarks & jokes to make us all laugh weather teasing one of us kids, telling us about a nurse, or getting tweaked by anyone around or telling the nurse my Name was Gladys just to worry me for a bit, Dads humor was always Non Stop.

~ CLOSER TO THE VEIL:
There were those times now that I seat & think of Dads moments of disconnect to mortality where in his eyes it seemed as those he saw the BIGGER picture of the meaning of life & what was to come through peeks beyond the veil. There were times I would find Dad gazing his attention to a random spot in the room to just stare as though all his attention was consumed in that moment, though words were unspoken the feeling of being still & knowing Dad knew more then we did at that moment of what was to come.

~DADS PASSING:
The night of Dads passing after we had our FHE of Dads Funeral arrangements & Dream concert program put together as Dad was still with us & then some of the Family had to depart to take care of their things @ home & then to return is when it happened.
It was myself, Mom, Clayton, Julee, Joe, Tia, Andy, Uncle Elliott, who were by Dads side as he awoke from his comatose state & took one last look into Moms eyes with his glossy eyes as though to speak with his eyes the words "I LOVE YOU". Then to hear moms words of comfort & coaching to Dad through the veil to pass from mortal to immortality to the other side was heartbreaking as us kids were massaging & stroking Dads arms, legs & top of his head singing "Families can be together Forever" the Spirit was so strong as to understanding death & what we believe in & to see Dads mortal body in a blink of an eye turn into a shell yet to feel his Spirit in the room so strong & the peace on that night even when the mortuary came to pick Dad up & we said a prayer with dad before he left & they departed taking him away as teardrops of rain sprinkled down  was a testimony to me of what we believe that had just came true. The shock still remains & will for some time to think that Dad is no longer physically here but on the other side to prepare for us until we meet again.
The comfort text from Dads phone sent to me exactly 2 weeks after he passed on a Tuesday saying
"You're the best"! Will always be a reminder that he is HERE & he is WATCHING all & he is closer then I think, "I LOVE YOU DAD"!!!! :-)

Adam's Reflection of Dad

What a beautiful time of life to be able to reflect on my wonderful dad and the impact he has had on my life. Truly my dad with the companionship of my mother has been the most influential source of good in my entire life. It was my parents teachings that lead me back to the light when I was off course and lost. It was the longing for the love they shared and the happiness they had with their own children that allowed me to see that the choices I was making was not going to end up in the state of happiness that they enjoyed.
They lived a clear statement of what one could have if they kept the commandments. The power of EXAMPLE is real when you have the opportunity to behold it! I am eternally blessed beyond measure to have had a dad in mortality that not only spoke of the value of the gospel of Jesus Christ but testified of it by the way he lived his life. I am not saying that my father was perfect, of perfect mortals we know of only one. What I am saying is that he was the perfect father for me.
How grateful I am to call Clayton Keaunui AhQuin Sr. My dad!
I love my dad!

Clay's Memories about Dad & his mother

One of the most memorabale times I’ve had with Dad is the Day I told him Nana was wanting to go on the boat. He then said, "Lets go". That wasn’t all, as we got to the lake Nana wanted to dive in the water and swim. Let’s not forget this lady is 80 years old. As I looked over at my Dad he said, “Let her Go Son”. She climbed up to the deck and swan dived into the water. My Dad then dove in after and this shot says it all. Was such a priceless day, I will remember for the rest of my Life. They swam for a while then came back in and Nana said, “I haven’t done that since I was in my teens."
My Dad loved his mother and Loved spending great time with her.
I was just blessed to be there and witness.

My Amazing Mother

My mom has always been SUPERWOMAN to me, but why wouldn't she be,
MY dad is SUPERMAN, so she has to be SUPERWOMAN!!
She was always so amazing to me as a child at EVERYTHING she would be involved in.
When Cambria was in Kindergarten and I went to my first PTA meeting,
I thought to myself, "I'm turning into my mom!"
You have NO idea how true that statement was!!!
My mom ALWAYS had a clean house, she managed her kids and household
like a business!! She put her family first ALL of the TIME!!!
She made homemade meals and goodies everyday and was the BEST cook!

Her smile is infectious and her laughter and joking personality everyone LOVES!!
She would always surprise me when I would come home from school with a new outfit!
She would come and get me out of school and take me to the movies and shopping.
She was just always about having FUN!!!
She is the most amazing GRANDMA to all 27 of her grandkids.
She loves to spoil all of them!!!
When my dad got sick and she was caring for him 24-7
she became even more AMAZING to me!!!
Always looking for healthy options for him and natural medicines.
She is the most knowledgeable woman or DR that I know.
She always is up to have a good time and hang out with all of the girls.
Here is the ORIGINAL 7 with our AMAZING Parents
